Reverend Robert Stephen Malone, Jr., 49, of Birmingham, formerly of Gulf Shores, Alabama, died Monday at dawn. Steve was born in Norfolk, Virginia, graduated from Foley High School, Auburn University and Reformed Theological Seminary. He was a realtor with the Mountain Brook office of Realty South.
Steve is survived by his wife, Melanie, his parents Robert and Cynthia, his Godmother, Martha Blake-Adams and mother-in-law, Marilyn Beard, his children, Madeleine, Margaret, Anna Claire, Mary, Colin, Brennan, Wesley, his siblings, Frank (Jennifer), Marshall (Jeanette), Charles (Anne), many loving aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews. He is a member of All Saints Episcopal Church of Homewood, Alabama.
Steve was a man of few, but kind and generous words and quiet but true ways.
A Memorial Service will be held at All Saints Episcopal Church, on Saturday, May 28, 2011 at 4:00 p.m., the vesper hour.
