Here's the latest...
The weekend was mostly recovery from the surgery. We got home late in the day friday. Sunday we had a quick run to the Emergency Room because of an air under the skin issue. (Hard to explain, not anything to be worried about.) The Housholders joined us there and Andrew kept things moving along, for which we were thankful.
Today we saw Dr. Posey. Because of the timing of the chemo study labs and the surgery on my lungs, we are not going to be able to be in the study. However, that puts control of the chemo more into Dr. Posey's hands. That said, we will start this Wednesday on the same drugs that we would have used in the study. (The big difference is that the study won't be paying for all that.)
So...chemo starts this Wednesday, and we go every Wednesday for three weeks. Then we take another scan to see what's happening. (We're starting a month to the day from when we found out about this cancer.)
We're working on dietary changes and resting up. Looks like the fight is on.
