The last day has slowly crept by. Waiting. Today is a chemo day, and it seems to loom just ahead. We think we will be better prepared this time, having some idea of what to anticipate. We have had quite a few midnight conversations about our beautiful lives, and Melanie and I both feel rich. We've talked about the things we fear. So, today, we just walk forward one more time.
We go in at 1:00 for blood work, and talk that over with Doctor Posey. If everything is on go, we hit the recliner (infusion chair) at 2:00.
My hope for the next two days is to remember as little as possible, and you won't hear from me for a bit.
It's hard to believe how much we have been surrounded by people who love us. We all feel it. We all needed it...a family that transcends even our own good families.
