from Bebob "Two Steves"

Today we lost another Steve.  I watched a tribute to Steve Jobs this morning and heard many of his statements on his philosophy of life and even death.  It was very profound.

But, in every picture of him, every video, I didn’t see Steve Jobs, I saw Steve Malone.  Similar looks, same thoughts expressed.

While Jobs came into his path very early in Wozniak’s family garage, Steve Malone had a longer, yet as fruitful path.  They both ended up with the same ideas and thoughts and philosophy.  Jobs was about living his dream in products to help people, not listening to others, pushing forward against the tide. Steve Malone’s was hearing and feeling God’s love and grace and then fully sharing that with others to give others a better, freer life.  Both men are heroic.

Steve Malone took longer to form, fully, his philosophy; yet it was underlying everything he did.  Others, even his father didn’t see it.  But one day, it broke free, and we saw the results develop in his children, and it reached its peak as, finally,  he had someone, Melanie, who could understand, share, and feel his dreams even tangibly.  Then we all got to know the deeper Steve Malone.  Unfortunately, God had other plans and took him from us.

Both Steves are together now, having followed their gut, as Jobs said, not fearing death, but living out their plans, their dreams, their philosophies.  Jobs said in a commencement address, something to the effect that death is our greatest reward.  Steve Malone agreed.

Both did more in their shortened lives, fighting the same dreaded disease, than most others do in a lifetime.  So much we have learned from both.

We have iPads, iPods, and Macs from Jobs.  We have love, strength, faith, direction from Steve Malone.

iSad.

Steve Malone, I am better because of you.  IThank.  From the bottom of my heart. iMissu my son.
